In 2022, I documented five political campaigns across rural New York, capturing the energy and stakes of local elections. As the official photographer for Matthew Mackey’s NYS Assembly bid, I made over 15,000 images—the most comprehensive archive of its kind in state history.
This project shares three impactful images from each campaign, including those of Josh Riley, Jen Metzger, Juan Figueroa, and Eric Ball, offering a rare visual record of grassroots politics in upstate New York.
